In November 2023 in San Francisco, Chinese President XI Jinping announced an important initiative “inviting 50,000 young Americans to China for exchange and study over the next five years.” In May 2024, during Chinese President XI Jinping’s visit to France, he announced that “promoting the number of French students studying in China to exceed 10,000 in the next three years, and double the scale of European youth exchanges in China.” To facilitate the exchanges between the peoples of China and other countries, particularly among the younger generations, the “Young Envoys Scholarship” (YES) program came into being, and China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) has been acting as the lead executing institution of YES program.
To support these initiatives and YES program, the Chinese Embassy and the Consulates-General in the U.S. and Europe will issue five-year or three-year F visa with multiple entries to eligible applicants who receive exclusive YES Invitations issued by CEAIE. At the same time, visa processing fees (including expedited fees) will be waived.
The program application for the "Light of Liaoning, Road of Oil Industry" Special Theme Winter Camp submitted by Liaoning Petrochemical University (No.: 2026-LN-DX-0001) has been successfully approved and established. This marks the first time the university has secured approval for such a program, representing a significant step forward in the cultivation of international talents and the promotion of international educational exchanges and cooperation. It will establish a broader platform for international exchanges for both faculty and students.

[Program Format and Main Content]
This program adopts an activity design supported by three interconnected modules. The specific arrangements are as follows:
Module 1: Petrochemical Industry Practice
Field visits + Expert lectures + Simulation operations.
Visit the Engineering Training Center and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Oil & Gas Storage and Transportation; participate in a specialized lecture on "Smart Refining and Chemical Engineering."
Module 2: Lei Feng Spirit Cultural Experience
On-site teaching + Cultural practice + Volunteer service.
Visit the Lei Feng Spirit Education Exhibition Hall and Lei Feng Memorial Hall; watch a theatrical performance themed on Lei Feng; participate in community environmental protection volunteer service activities.
Module 3: Chinese Language and Culture Learning
Interactive courses + Non-legacy workshops + City exploration.
Experience immersive Chinese language courses; engage in Chinese calligraphy, tea art, and Tai Chi; visit cultural landmarks such as the Liaoning Provincial Museum, Shenyang Imperial Palace, and Fushun Hetu Ala City.
